Composition: Lead phosphate chloride
Nomenclature: Named after the Greek words "pyrh" and "morphe" which mean "fire" and "form" because the globule produced by melting a fragment assumes a crystalline shape upon cooling.
Industrial Uses: Lead ore.
Additional Notes: A member of the Apatite group of minerals. Also referred to as green lead ore.
